Description
COURT CASE:
- damage to our organ of corti (an organ of the inner ear that is located within the cochlea)
- damage to any of the outer hair cells in our organ of corti
- damage to any of the efferent fibers (sensori receptors that connect to cranial nerve 8) that are attached to our outer hair cells in our organ of corti
- damage to any of the inner hair cells in our organ of corti
- damage to any of the afferent fibers (sensori receptors that connect to cranial nerve 8) that are attached to our inner hair cells in our organ of corti
- damage to any of the sterocilia in our organ of corti
- damage to any of the tiplinks in our outer and/or inner hair cells in our organ of corti
- the hair cells in our organ of corti not transducing vibrations caused by soundwaves into electrical impulses
- our organ of corti not transducing auditory signals
- our organ of corti being damaged by excessive sound levels to the point that we experience noise-induced impairment
- experiencing any reduction in the function in our organ of corti
- the apex of our hair cells in our organ of corti not being exposed to enough high potassium ion solution
